The Gulf Shore Writer is J.
Michael (Mike) Smith who worked and lived in close proximity
to the Gulf of Mexico in the Tampa Bay area for over five years and he loved it.
At the beginning of 2010, he moved back to the Atlanta area where he
is continuing to write and explore new avenues. Let him tell you. I'm Mike Smith and I'm a writer. Why do you care? I write well. I write on a lot of different topics. I know something about a lot of topics. I'm a good researcher and I'm fast at it. I write as plainly as possible to convey ideas and understanding. I'm easy to get along with. I do dare to end sentences with a preposition. I meet deadlines. I have reasonable rates. All of this combined puts me in a relatively unusual category (especially the "easy to get along with" part). I have a business and high tech background. I've owned roofing companies, cigar shops, software development companies, and writing groups, among others. I've started businesses and worked for small and large ones as employee and consultant, though rarely at the same time. It's the result of a natural curiosity and a belief that it helps to improve the writing and the relevance. I don't mind being edited or making revisions at a reasonable level.
